I've had VED since 2002 and it's easy to save in many formats. I usually save in MPEG-2. I use this setting for creating a DVD compliant file. Audio: 384 Kbps, 48,000 Hz Video: 29.97 fps, 720x480, 8300 Kbps. If you can't use this software then something is wrong somewhere.
