I wanted to pass this information along for anyone interested. I've been using Roxio since "Easy CD Creator 5" in 2003 and have been completely satisfied once I learned how to maneuver through the software, which would be the case with any new package. I purchased Roxio Creator 2009 Special Edition in June 2009 for $80. Since I was thinking of getting a new computer I decided to wait and install at a later date. And the Roxio that I was using at the time was working just fine. Got my new computer with Windows 7 and realized after installation of 2009 that it was not compatible. Visited Roxio website to look for a patch or anything available to make the software usable. As this was such a new item I was sure I would find something and problem solved. When I was unable to find anything I email Roxio and asked for help. I will have to give them a little credit for their prompt responses to emails. Within 12 hours they informed me there is no patch or anything that will make 2009 work with Windows7 - it is not compatible. They informed me the only solution to my problem is to upgrade to Roxio Creator 2010 at a cost of $99.00 less a $20 mail in rebate. Unbelievable. Software that is one year old has to go to the trash.....this is completely ridiculous. I've recommended Roxio to many friends in the past. However, I would not recommend buying 2009 if you have any plans in the near future to upgrade to the Windows 7 operating system. I am giving Roxio 1 star for no other reason than they respond very quickly to questions.Get more detail about Roxio Creator 2009 [OLD VERSION].
