I bought Toast 10 mainly for video editing - to transfer recordings from my Tivo for burning to DVD/BD, to extract video clips from various sources for burning to same, etc. I have not yet attempted importing video from a camcorder, but will do so soon.
So far, Toast has worked flawlessly. Importing and editing video is very easy to do, and I have not had any issues with coasters or any other type of burn issues (I have both external blu-ray and dvd burners hooked up to my iMac, the former via FW 800, the later USB) . I did download the Hi Definition plug in from Roxio ($19.99), and have found it is an excellent tool for creating high quality video.
Finally, I should note I am running Snow Leopard on my iMac, and have not encountered any compatibility issues.Get more detail about Roxio Toast 10 Titanium.
