I've been using PD8 Ultra with my new Core i7 computer with 6GB of memory and a Blu-ray/DVD burner. The PD software is a decent low-budget video editor that does everything I need to edit HD video from my Cannon HF 10 camcorder (AVCHD). The problem comes when I need to burn a disc. The software is absolutely horrible at creating either a DVD disc or a Blu-ray disc. I've had so much trouble that I finally just started creating the DVD output to file and use a separate burner software (imgburn) to create the discs. But now, the PD software won't even write the DVD output to file. I keep getting source errors and customer support at Cyberlink is non-existent. If you are on a low-budget, then PD8 will probably work, but if can spend more money - then do it can get something more professional like Adobe.Get more detail about PowerDirector 8 Ultra.
